Exbrayat centenary celebrations

May 5th would have been my grandfather's 100th birthday. To mark Charles Exbrayat's centenary, there will be various celebrations throughout the month of May in his hometown of Saint-Étienne.

On May 5th - the centenary date itself - there will be two specific celebratory events in Saint-Étienne. At 11.30 AM at the square Charles Exbrayat au Rond-Point, there will be a presentation of three book selections for the Prix Charles Exbrayat, the literary prize which my grandmother started in my grandfather's honour. Later that day, at 15.30, there will be a roundtable discussion entitled "Autour de Charles Exbrayat" at MRASH (Maison Rhône-Alpes des Sciences de l’Homme).

I will be in Saint-Étienne for both of these events, along with my mother. For the purpose of this blog, my fiancée will be taking pictures and we will post any interesting ones here, along with my thoughts on the day, when we return to London.

Comments

I am often wrong about such things, but the link to the Saint-Etienne page about the celebrations seems to need attention. At first, the link didn't work for me, but when I stuck an "h" on the front, I got there.

Please feel free to delete this after correcting the problem, which I hope I have described accurately.

Thanks, Brian - we've fixed it now!
